Accelerating Potential at Ecobat

Ecobat | January 16, 2023

Ecobat hosted its first Accelerating My Potential (AMP) development session in Middletown, New York, in November 2022. AMP is a new learning and development program that gives Ecobat leaders an opportunity to focus on elevating their management and core leadership capabilities. AMP sessions develop frontline leaders by equipping them with key management skills in alignment with Ecobat’s six core values of being proud, rigorous, caring, engaged, operationally excellent and collaborative.

AMP sessions are focused on engaging leaders across all Ecobat functions including HS&E, maintenance, battery wrecker operations, shipping, general smelter plant operations, plastics, HR and others. Ecobat is collaborating with Coaching Right Now, an organization that works with businesses to accelerate the development of core leaders who are critical to achieving business goals. Coaching Right Now is a good fit for Ecobat because of its global coaching presence and innovative approach to elevating skills and behaviors.

AMP sessions are made up of workshops, practice sessions and group coaching. The first AMP session focuses participants on two topics, Foundations of a Leader and Conversations that Matter. Foundations of a Leader helps leaders think through and define the kind of leader they want to be, and what’s needed to create impact. Conversations that Matter explains the quality of communication styles that can leave others feeling motivated, inspired, supported and valued. Other topics of AMP include Manager as Coach & Delegation, Foundations of a Team and Influencing & Leading Change.

Roger Brooks, Ecobat’s Global Talent Management Director shares, “I’m proud that we are giving our supervisors and managers the permission and time to grow and develop with AMP. The bonds and connections that we are fortifying will be the driving force of our efforts to build the one Ecobat culture."

AMP events are taking place across the U.S. and in Europe in 2023. Ecobat is proud to invest in employees who are transforming energy storage across the globe.
