
Marcus Randolph
Executive Chairman, CEO and President
Marcus Randolph joined Ecobat in 2020 as Executive Chairman with 40 years of experience in the mining and processing industries. He was appointed CEO and President in March 2022.
Prior to Ecobat, Marcus was Executive Chairman of Boart Longyear, a Salt Lake City company and the world’s largest supplier of drilling services and drilling equipment to the minerals industries, from 2015 to 2019.
Before Boart Longyear, Marcus held several leadership positions at BHP Billiton in Melbourne, Australia, from 1999 to 2013, including Chief Executive Ferrous and Coal, Chief Organization Development Officer, President of Diamond and Specialty Products, Chief Development Officer for Minerals, and Chief Strategic Officer for Minerals.
Other career roles and highlights include his tenure as CEO and President of First Dynasty Mines Ltd. in Singapore, and as a Mining and Metals Executive for Rio Tinto PLC in London.
Marcus has lived in Lima, Peru; London; Singapore; and Melbourne, Australia. He now resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his wife of several decades and a beloved big dog. He holds a BS in Mining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Harvard University.
